This made some parts of the book seem like a very slow read. Lederman I gave this book 5 stars because it is such a great teacher of science paarticula written so well, with great humour to boot. This theme is traced all the way from Democritus what little we know of him to the physicists of the Enlightenment, the 19th century, and into the modern era.
Lastly, in some of the more creative parts of the book, Lederman makes fictional scenarios for example when he finds a time traveling Greek philosopher to help illustrate certain points about why science can be trusted and also its limits.
