This book is also commonly called al-Bihar in brief. The author has organized the book based on 25 general topics and thus in 25 volumes. However, nowadays it is published in volumes. In every volume, the author has collected related subtopics in different chapters.
Neither of these books have been translated into English. Even such a fundamental hadith collection as Al-Kafi has not been translated into English only a small part of it has. On the other hand, we dont have a situation where everyone starts to pass their pseudo-fatwas just coz they read a translated book which is quite common with sunnis and especially salafis. Seriously, i also need Bihar ul Anwar, because it contains very very interesting hadiths, enjoyable ones too.

He was a student of Mulla Sadra. He has been described as the most powerful and influential Shia Ulems. Over books in Arabic and Persian were authored by him. Majlisi compiled it to gather all the ahadith he could access. His primary goal was to preserve the available knowledge for future generations.
